Windows 10: File explorer won't open after installing 24H2

Discus and support File explorer won't open after installing 24H2 in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I installed Win 11 Pro 24H2 KB5054979.     File explorer won't open after installing 24H2


    I installed Win 11 Pro 24H2 KB5054979. The first time I opened File Explorer, it worked just fine. After that it would not open. Acting upon advice from copilot I should have known better, because copilot is not Artificial Intelligence, it is Artificial Stupidity because it is more often wrong than right I installed KB5053656. File Explorer still won't open properly, and it refuses to reconnect my mapped network drives. I uninstalled both updates, File Explorer now opens very, very, very slowly. According to DumbPilot, others have reported this problem, but I can't seem to fix it. Dumbpilot

    File Explorer STILL not opening

    Greetings,

    File Explorer has not been opening for at least a month. I have followed Microsoft's given steps in Fix
    File Explorer if it won't open or start     multiple times with no success. Has anyone found a solution?

    the troubleshooter,.Restart the Pc after finish

    opening .dds files with gimp

    Simply, HOW? I got the DDS plugin but the POS wont open DDS files still. Can someone give me a step-by-step rundown of how to install the DDS plugin for gimp so I know if I'm missing something?
