    File Explorer won't open folders after Update KB5055523


    I had this problem, as have many others. I uninstalled Update KB5055523 and that solved the problem.But Windows Update keeps installing it. Last time I couldn't even uninstall it - I had to go back to a restore point!Is there a way to stop that? Or to fix the problem while maintaining the Update?I'd rather not pause or stop all future updates. Will Microsoft offer a fix for this?Mark

    File Explorer STILL not opening

    Greetings,

    File Explorer has not been opening for at least a month. I have followed Microsoft's given steps in Fix
    File Explorer if it won't open or start     multiple times with no success. Has anyone found a solution?

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
