Windows 10: File explorer won't open

    File explorer won't open


    When I click on the File Explore icon on the task bar nothing happens. In order to get to File Explorer I must open Task Manager, navigate to File Explorer, right click, then select "open file location", which then opens File Explorer. I had/do have a series of issues from running Ccleaner Pro and had a "recovery" done by my laptop manufacturer which then created other problems such as this one.

    File Explorer STILL not opening

    Greetings,

    File Explorer has not been opening for at least a month. I have followed Microsoft's given steps in Fix
    File Explorer if it won't open or start     multiple times with no success. Has anyone found a solution?

    Try the Microsoft advice, when : File explorer

    doesn't open or unable to upload files

    After open the webPage >> You'll see Windows 10

    and 7 listed headlines below : click each of

    them >> and apply its

    solutions outlined : After execute each

    set of fixes. Stop and open your, browser to

    upload those files again : When you Run

    the troubleshooter,.Restart the Pc after finish

    to let any repair be - Saved on the system

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
