Windows 10: file explorer

Today all of my icons in file explorer are showing a green tick. This is unrelated to onedrive as it is showing for all files regardless of location. I have mafe no changes to my settings. Whe I search for assistance, everything point s to unchecking the Item check boxes in the ribbon. However, my item check boxes

• Click the Start Menu.
• Right-click File Explorer.
• Choose Pin to taskbar.

"This file can't be previewed" problem in explorer

• Open File Explorer.
• Access this link
  
  C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer
• Delete all the files.
• After deleting the files kindly try and see if there's a thumbnail preview of your files.
