Windows 10: file explorere crashes whenever i try to open a folder

whenever i try to open specific folders or apps the loading cursor icon appears and file explorer stops working.I always have task manage open so i just restart it from there.i noticed it only happens when trying to open Spotify. I can't even right click on it to delete it either or highlight it without file explorer crashing i've since managed to do so.I downloaded a Shell app I saw on another solve to this but I can't open it due to the same problem.I can still open most other files and folders unless they are in the same folder as the "problem" folder. For example, I now can't click onto

QuickBooks crash while opening data file

As you have mentioned that after Windows and QuickBooks update whenever you open a data file in QuickBooks, it crashes. We would like to know if any other programs are crashing apart from QuickBooks.



I suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned below:



Method 1: Repair QuickBooks



I suggest you to try repairing QuickBooks and then open data file in it. Please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + R, to open
   Run dialog box.
   
2. Type appwiz.cpl and click on
   OK.
   
3. Look for QuickBooks application from the list, right click on it and select
   Repair.
   
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the repair process.
   

If repairing QuickBooks didn’t fix the issue, please refer Method 2.



Method 2: Open Sample data file



You can try opening a Sample data file in QuickBooks and check if QuickBooks crash. If QuickBooks didn’t crash while opening Sample data file, I suspect that the data file that you are trying to open is causing the crash. In this case, I suggest you
to contact the
QuickBooks support team.

PowerPoint file crashes PowerPoint upon opening

since this happens in some of the computers only, suggest that you open the file on working computer and copy everything and paste to a new powerpoint file.
most of the time it works to me. *Smile

 

Windows 10 Quick Access: Folder & File Grouping (QA grouped by type, folder or file) ceased working

Actually, apologies, I spoke too soon, I rebooted (still had same issue which emerged after a Win10 crash this AM for unknown reason) then executed your suggestion (which to be clear for others was the following steps):

• Opened "File Explorer"
• Went to View
• Selected Options from toolbar
• Selected Change Folder and Search Options - this opened Folder Options box
• Selected View for View tab
• in Folder Views box clicked on Reset Folder

And voila, worked. Earlier try not sure why it did not work but after reboot (and with continued Quick Access issue) this worked.
