Windows 10: File explorer's Quick Access sidebar erroneous display of "Pinned" icon

My Windows 11 is automatically showing the push pin icon for every folder listed in the Quick Access sidebar and every newly created folder is added to the list does not require multiple visits before being added to the list. Upon looking closer...when right-clicking on a folder that should been pinned, or that I have explicitly pinned, the pop-up menu only shows the option to "Remove from Quick Access" reflecting that the file item is indeed pinned. When right-clicking on a newly created or frequently accessed folder item one that is not truly pinned and should not have a pin icon the

File Explorer Quick Access trouble.. Cannot pin items

File Explorer is behaving weird - I cannot pin items to Quick Access. When I pin items they won't appear to QA. Also when dragging items to QA nothing happens and there's a small icon indicating that is not possible.

I did some "tweaks" with Ultimate Windows Tweaker 4.5 but I haven't found a setting there that could of made QA to not function.

I did some steps as remedy that I found with Google but those didn't help.

Any suggestions?

 

Can't pin any folder to Quick access in file explorer

This fixed Quick Access for me too and I can now pin folders to Quick Access without the "The parameter is incorrect" error. This fix also brought the "Locked" category with the Quick Access folders to the right click menu of the taskbar icon for File Explorer.
Before this fix I had nothing but "File Explorer", "Unpin from taskbar" and "Close window" showing when right clicking on the taskbar icon. I'm currently missing the "Recent files" category and the ability to pin files or folders to the taskbar. When trying
to pin a file to the taskbar it only shows up in the Quick Access folder.

 

Pin FTP Location to Quick Access in Win Explorer


I have a link to an FTP folder that I can not get to pin to Win Explorer Quick Launch. The shortcut appears in c:\users\[user name]\links but does not appear in the quick access list.

Opening the file in Win Explorer and right clicking on "Quick access" with the option "pin to quick access" does nothing and there is no option in right click list to "pin to quick access" or even "pin to start" for a .lnk file.
