Windows 10: File extension missing

I am using Win11 Build 22621.1194, and following the last update I cannot associate .JPG pictures with anything any longer. The Settings>Apps Default no longer show .jpg as an option to assign. You can chose jp2 but not jpg. The picture files do open with picture printing, and not Photo gallery. I have tried rolling back the update but that didn't fix it. The same applies to png files created as screenshotsAny help?Thanks

I have Windows 10. My list of default file extensions/programs is missing the .zip file extension. How do I add it back in?

The easiest way to add it back to the list of protocols (file Extensions) is to right click a zip file, choose 'Open With' and select the appropriate application. This action will write the necessary registry keys to add the protocol back into the list
of default apps . . .

To change the file extension when saving a document in Word 2013, you may follow the steps below:

• Click on File; then, select Options from the list.
• In the Word Options window, choose Save.
• Under Save files in this format, select *.doc from the list.
• Hit OK button to confirm and save the changes.
