Windows 10: File Folder Structures Duplicated

Something odd occurs once in a while - after a reboot, I think. I will find a document folder with only the Folder structure duplicated. I recently discovered an additional folder named "Documents" my main Doc folder appears correct and it included all of the folders on my Hard Drive, but each of the subfolders was empty. Wanting to delete these files/folders, I did a right click on the root folder Documents and it returned a value of 0 Files and around 3000 folders. When I tried to delete these folders, I was told I could not do so because the files were not empty. The only way to dele

The only way to delete these folders was to click on each sub-folder down to the lowest element of each main folder and delete them one at a time. As you can imagine, this is very time-consuming.

What's the best way to delete the folders in a situation like this?

Duplicate Public Folders

Hi,

To further identify the cause of this problem, can you provide us the following information?

• What happens when you delete the duplicate folders?
• Does it happen to all of your folders or only those with pictures?
• Any steps you've tried to troubleshoot this issue?

Windows 11 File Structure

Microsoft pushed Windows 11 to my laptop, but my desktop machine is still on Windows 10. It would be nice to have both machines on the same OS. However...

The file stucture in Windows 11 is really confusing. There is a desktop link on top and another desktop link inside it. Everything on the desktop is listed in the top desktop folder, and then in another desktop folder within the top desktop folder. Pictures and music and videos are listed in the top desktop structure and then again in a folder called Libraries. Desktop files are also repeated in the C drive folder>Users>MyName>desktop.

Why is everything listed in multiple places in the file structure? Can I change that file structure? How? I'm afraid to just delete the folder called desktop inside the top desktop folder.
