File History CloudRestoreBackup events even though I dont use File History

I have been getting these CloudRestoreBackup events randomly. Sometimes one day apart, some days a week apart.I know they're related to File History but that is disabled on my machine. I also do not have OneDrive installed or any cloud backup software. Currently experiencing performance issues in a game so I'm trying to clean my EV as much as possible. I found a File History task that completed at the same time as the most recent one of these events, so I disabled it to see if that prevents the events/errors from happening again. Please correct me if it was bad for me to disable that task. May

    :)

    File History restart

    Hi Jim,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community forums.

To change the backup drive for File History, the current process should be stopped. I suggest you to try the steps listed below to stop file history on an older drive and restart it on a new drive:

    Change File History backup drive:

    • Open Settings and navigate to Update & Security > Backup.
    • Click on More Options, scroll down to locate
Backup to a different drive section, and choose Stop Using Drive.
    • Plug in the new storage drive, navigate to Settings > Update & Security > Backup,
      and choose Add a Drive.
    • Restart File History and configure it by referring to the article
