file history does not seem to be working correctly

This past June I got an update that killed my file history backups to my NAS I have spent many hours since trying to get it functioning correctly again. Prior, I was backing up three drives. On my NAS' folder, I had three drive letters plus $of. It took forever for the first set of incrementals to filter through, because it first had to back up all files on each drive Or, it did... Don't know if 'it had to'. I set this up back in Aug. ? of 2018 Worked fine, always had an older version of whatever I wanted.

Since the update trying to set up the same as before, three drives each with exclusions I am not getting my three drive letters on my NAS, I am not getting full initial backups and I cannot positively say that it is backing up all my files at all. I now can't really trust it.

I have heard rumours that MS is going to kill file history. Is what I am seeing the beginning of this? Or, am I just not holding my mouth right....

    :)

File History - Does not turn off

Thanks again for your suggestion. Most of the items mentioned were mentioned in your previous post.

As I mentioned in my original post, File History shows history entries in my Task Schedule menu History listings even though I have turned it off. Now, I did notice one other entry in the History listing. The History listing said “Maintenance Mode.” So,
I wonder if that mode reacts differently and rejects my File History Off and Task Schedule settings and lists File History listings under a different parameter. That may account for the history dates not agreeing with File History and Task Schedule dates.
