    How to stop File History on the old drive and start File History on a new drive?

    I use the external drive
    for File History and have a lot of information there. I want to restart the File History process on a new drive and place the previous File History drive off-site.

    Please suggest the steps to stop File History on the old drive and start File History on a new drive.

    File History missing from my new laptop

    File History is definitely missing on my wife's brand new Surface Laptop 7 (ARM) with Windows 11 24H2. I can't believe the Microsoft does things like this. Makes me wonder if MS is going to switch entirely to using OneDrive for migration from one PC to another.

    I am experiencing this same issue. I just purchased a new Surface Pro 11 and the file history setting is missing from the start menu search results as well as on the control panel.
