    File history problem


    How to solve the problem to turn on the file history.
    It is saying that in yellow box''No usable drive was found. We recommend that you use an external drive for File History. Connect a drive and refresh this page, or use a network location.''
    So what can i do ? I don't want to use a network location ?

    Thanks

    This enabled me to understand the issue. I was then able to resolve it by moving some files and excluding the folder from file history.

    C Drive....But first i want to turned it on but how to do that. and i have also clicked on add network location and their i selected drive but it is saying that ''this location cant be used to save your file try different location.'' then what i should do now to turned on the file history?

    I'm afraid that you cannot use the C: drive to save file history to since that is the Windows drive.

    You will need to use either a separate internal hard drive, external hard drive (ex: USB), or a network drive.

    You cannot turn on File History until after you select a drive. The tutorial link I posted above will show you how to select a drive when you have one available to use with File History.

    File History will save the files in a "File History" folder on the drive selected to be used for File History.

    Do you have drive E, F, or D connected?

    Are these drives large enough?

    Do you have any other drive other than C: connected? If not, you will have to before you will have a drive available to select.
