    File location of Mail app in Windows 10?


    I want to get the right click > send to > mail receipient functionalilty working in W10 and to do this I need to set the file association for the .mapimail extention.

    Anyone know where I should set it to (the location of the Windows Mail app) please?

    Finding Location Of Files Opened from Windows 10 Mail App

    I'm using the Windows Mail (NOT Outlook) app for all of my e-mail. When I open a file (like a Word or Excel file) from an e-mail attachment in the Mail app, it opens automatically. I can make edits, etc., and save the file. However, if I haven't taken
    the step to SAVE AS and specify a specific location for the file, it seems that saving any edits to the files I open 'disappear.' I'm sure this is saved to a 'hidden' location. Where are these files saved?

    Windows 10 Mail and People apps - Storage locations?

    I found the files mentioned in the e-mail at

    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Comms\Unistore\data. I copied all of these files to another drive. After reinstalling Win 10 I copied the files back to the designated
    location. The Windows Mail App did not see theses files. Is there any way to get the Mail App to reintegrate the files, or be able to read the files.

    Just figured I don't need to change the file association but would still like to know how to get the send to email recipient function working in Explorer.

    Anyone?

    All I see is this and yes, defaults are set.
