Windows 10: File manager does not let me create folders anymore

Hello,I was working normally on my laptop with Win 11 and all of the sudden it will not let me create folders anymore. Neither by clicking on new, which now shows me a list of all sorts of programs but not folder nor by using the shortcut keys on the keyboard. I have tried out some of the stuff online but nothing is doing the trick. This is quite annoying. Anyone any ideas? Thanks!
