  1. File not found - please verify the correct file name was given

    Hi Guys,

I'm working with AutoCAD REVIT and I often get equipment models in the form of an ADSK file.

I just followed my usual routine which has worked fine in the past but now I'm finding that when I try to open or import an ADSK file, I get the following error message:

    "file not found",

"please verify the correct file name was given"

I know the file is not corrupt and has the right extension and I have tried several other ADSK files from the past that have worked OK.

I have had no luck from the AutoCAD community as I'm thinking that this isn't an AutoCAD issue.

I have also tried 4 versions of the REVIT software, all had the same problem.

I did read some posts with regards to this error message and a number of people have suggested turning off "controlled folder access" in Windows Defender but ESET controls these functions on my PC so I can't get into Defender and this option.

    I also run Malwarebytes Premium.

I have made sure my OS is up to date and SFC returns no issues.

Thanks for any help that you can provide.

    Paul

    :)

you get the idea. ( too lazy to put it in a for loop and test it.

or just open regedit and remove all the fileX from that key.

    Gathering Names Of Multiple Files

Is it possible to get the names of multiple files and paste them in to Notepad or Word or something?

Not sure how clear that is - I've got a folder with lots and lots of films from holidays etc. I've spent ages renaming them all to something meaningful (Other than Mov0001, Mov0002 etc etc)
Unfortunatly, at the time, I didn't think to copy and paste the names in to a file as I did each one. But now people want to know what things I've got - so I want a list of all the names without having to type each one out seperately.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Corrupted file RAR

If the archive has been created using WinRAR, why don't you try WinRAR itself? It has a built-in repair feature for repairing corrupted archive (ZIP as well as RAR). Follow the steps given below:
    • Open WinRAR application in your system.
    • Now click on File tab > Open or simply press Ctrl+O.
    • A small window "Find Archive" will pop up. Locate the corrupt RAR archive from your system directory and select it.
    • Now click Open button.
    • Click Tools tab > Repair archive or simply press Alt+R.
    • Again a small window "Repairing File name.rar" will pop up.
    • Now click Browse to select a location to save the repaired archive.
    • Check the box "Treat the corrupt archive as RAR" and click OK.
    • WinRAR will start repairing of corrupt RAR archive. Once it gets completed click Close.
I hope the above steps will help you repair the corrupted RAR archive.

    Thanks.
