Windows 10: File recovery from Screen Snip

I was using the Screen Snip tool to record a video. I was too engrossed in work and don't seem to remember if I had manually stopped the recording or not. I didn't save the file seprately. The video was about 2.5 to 3 hours long. My previous procedure to save recordings this long wss just to manually save it in a different location through Ctrl + SI tried the 'SkreenSketch\TempState' fix but my file does not show up there. Any other ways if I can recovery it ?

Screen snip not displaying snips

I'm using Win10 Enterprise LTSC, I have been using Screen snip and it works well, but today when I take a snip the snip is not displayed, I've tried rebooting but this didn't make any difference, I checked Apps and Features and screen snip is not listed in it. The steps I took are: Click on Action Centre, select Screen snip, the screen snip icon appears on the top of the screen, screen goes grey and cursor turns into a crosshair, I select the area for the snip but nothing happens, the screen snip application should launch but it doesn't. Any ideas how to fix this?

Why would I want to use the Snip Delay feature?

The delay feature is one way to allow capture screen image at later time so you can display a conext/popup/file menu etc...
However, it is possible to do a snip without using the delay feature and in fact I think it is better that you have a complete control exactly when you want to snip.

1. Run snipping tool
2. If the screen appears greyed out (snip mode) then press <ESC> else continue step 3
3. Display context menu/Start menu/File Menu etc... Hold down <CTRL> and press <Print Screen> then do the snip.
