Windows 10: File renaming when changing case doesnt work !!

Take a folder or file with a name all in capitals upper case, exampleFILENAME.txtFOLDERNAMERename the file or folder to the same name but change the case of some or all of the letters - dot change the actual name. The filename doesn't change, it stays as the original name

BUG?: Cannot rename email account with a case-change only

On my Lumia 820, I set up a mail account called: Blahblah

Then I wanted to rename it to: BlahBlah



The only difference was a change in case, not letters



The phone said "You already have an account called "BlahBlah" " and didnt make the change



Note, that renaming Blahblah -> Blahblahz -> BlahBlah worked ok



Problem: Seems windows phone 8 will search for existing accounts, including the one youre renaming, when it's trying to work out if youre renaming to another account that exists:



Solution: Don't include the current account in the list of account names being considered for duplicate checking

I'd have reported this to MS, but there doesnt seem a way. Maybe nokia can pass on the message

 

Can't rename case in File Explorer.

When I rename "only case " of a file or folder in File Explorer it doesn't work.

A workaround, I put a character at the end with case changes save those then remove then added extra character.

 

Users cannot rename file when changing the case only

When a user for example creates a file on his desktop, the user won't be able to rename that file when changing the case only. (Changing a letter to uppercase or lowercase). They receive the message "you have no permission to perform this action".

This only occurs when they are renaming the files on their desktop. The documents on there desktop are redirected to a network share.

When the user moves the file to a network location it is possible to rename that file by changing the case.
