Windows 10: File Share in Windows 10

I am trying to connect 3 computers to share all files with each other. All 3 computers are on Windows 10. Sometimes I am able to see it on the network and work off of the other PC's, then all of a sudden it disappears from the network or asks for a password. I have done all the network discovery stuff including removing the password protection sharing on all 3 computers.


Is there a bug in Windows 10?


Do I need to created userid's on all 3 and go that route?

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Set Up File Sharing on a Windows 10 PC

Hi Brink great tutorial as usual.

I could not help but notice in step 1 you say to enable " Function Discovery Resource Publication "

In most of the posts I have read on Ten Forums they also suggest to enable " Function Discovery Provider Host "

Are you suggesting that Function Discovery Provider Host is not necessary.
