Windows 10: file sharing windows 10

I finally had networking working on windows 10 but suddenly it's think the other PC is a "media device" again. Do Microsoft know how frustrating they have made it trying to share files between 2 pcs it should be so simple!Makes me repeatedly bang my head on my desk as the dozens of hours I have spent trying to fix this over the years!and now suddenly i presume some update has undone my work and now its back to how it was originally.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Set Up File Sharing on a Windows 10 PC

Hi Brink great tutorial as usual.

I could not help but notice in step 1 you say to enable " Function Discovery Resource Publication "

In most of the posts I have read on Ten Forums they also suggest to enable " Function Discovery Provider Host "

Are you suggesting that Function Discovery Provider Host is not necessary.
