Windows 10: file storage insanity windows 11

I have learned to be extremely careful in specifying a path when I open and store a document, but Windows 11 ignores the path and sticks the file in bizarre places. Yesterday I stored a file in a specific location. Today I tried to find the file, and it was not where I put it. I searched for it and found the EXACT SAME FILE in FOUR DIFFERENT LOCATIONS, NONE OF WHICH WAS WHERE I told Windows to put it. This happens with Word .doc files, Paint .png files, Excel files, et al. I have lost whole files with invaluable one-of-a-kind information that I have been trying to find for weeks and still cann

Can't Free Up Storage OnHP Stream 11 Running Windows 10

As you are unable to delete the temporary files and free up the storage space on Windows 10 Operating System, try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to refer to the below Microsoft article about:
Free up drive space in Windows 10

Step 2: I suggest you to check the storage capacity of each of the drives in
Windows Explorer.

• Press Windows key, type This PC, select it.
• Right click on each of the drives and click on Properties.
• Also, you can perform Disk Cleanup from the
  Step 2 as well.
• Select the files to be delete on each of the drives.

File Storage Server Prototype

Alright guys, I'm making a prototype machine here, I would like to use some version of linux to run my storage server. I'd like for it to be able to handle up to 6TB of storage. Also I would like to use a version of linux that is vary stable and can interact well with a windows/mac home networks. What would you suggest?

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
