Windows 10: File system error -1073741819

Hello,I am writing to you regarding a problem related to my antivirus program most likely, the issue lies with it. Recently, while working on my computer, I needed to download one exe file that has always worked flawlessly, and I personally vouch for its safety. However, after running it, instead of the expected execution of the file, the following message appeared:"File is corrupted! This program has been tampered with and may be infected with a virus or compromised. This file will no longer work."I have encountered this issue before, and the only solution was to reinstall the Windows opera

File system error (-1073741819)

I have a problem with CCleaner not opening due to error message –
C\Program Files\CCleaner\CCleaner 64.exe – File system error (-1073741819).
I contacted both CCleaner forum and tech support – both replied that it was a Windows 10 problem and suggested sites to fix the problem.
Since this seems to be a Windows 10 problem, I wanted to know from Microsoft that suggested fixes were applicable.



Would you please advise Microsoft fix for this problem and/or confirm fixes suggested by CCleaner?

File system error (-1073741819) is a User Account error and has a surprising fix - by changing the Audio scheme.

Which app are you trying to open ?

Is it a third party app or an app from windows store?

Is it an execution file? (.exe)

File System Error 1073741819 and other critical errors can occur when your Windows operating system becomes corrupted. Opening programs will be slower and response times will lag. When you have multiple applications running, you may experience crashes and
freezes. There can be numerous causes of this error including excessive startup entries, registry errors, hardware/RAM decline, fragmented files, unnecessary or redundant program installations and so on.

Please try this steps:

• Type restore in the search bar
• Click on open system restore
• Click next .
• Select a system restore point and restore your computer to that state it was before the selected event
  
• Select a restore point by checking the date and time and select next followed by finish.

Good day! I apologize that you are having this issue and I am hoping we can work through it and fix it.

This error can be fixed by a few different solutions that may or may not help you since it is a very broad problem.

First try to just install Java completely and then reinstall it from scratch. This may let it update all the way and install.

2nd try the following 2 methods:

Method 1:

Run system file checker (SFC) and see if it helps. Please follow these steps:

a. Press Windows + X keys and click command prompt (admin).

b. Type the following command in command prompt and press Enter.

sfc /scannow

System file checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

Method 2:

Run DISM tool and check the issue. Please follow these steps:

a. Press Windows + X keys and click command prompt (admin).

b. Type the following command in command prompt and press Enter.

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth.

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth.

3rd. There are many threads with many fixes about this problem here:

Fixed by disabling Windows audio service/ending the task in task manager.
