Windows 10: file system error 2018374645

hi when i try to open my photos from external hard drive its comes up with system error -2018374645.

i have tried to scan, scan comes up fine.

i dont know what to do next.

or what that number even means

I want to change my desktop background, but when I try to open settings with Windows Key + I or by opening Run and typing "ms-settings://", for Windows Key + I it just ignores the command. When I try and open in from the Run dialogue box, it says "ms-settings://

File system error (-2018374645)." Is there a fix for this?
