Windows 10: file system error -2147163901 mail app won't work

    file system error -2147163901 mail app won't work


    None of my windows apps are working. My computer is up to date, all the current updates have been installed. When turning on my computer I get this notification from file explorer,

    file system error -2147163901 mail app won't work 817f3950-b1db-4932-9f5d-63a57f6d9f81?upload=true.png

    I have uninstalled the Mail and Calendar app, and restarted my computer and now when I try to reinstall the app I get this notification:

    file system error -2147163901 mail app won't work 72433fa3-f668-40a6-8670-83ddd9761f03?upload=true.png

    I was originally following the steps on this link: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-files/windows-10-error-file-system-error-2147163901/9ea9bbfa-3d9d-420c-ab96-d99166009d0d

    But after performing all of the tasks it said to do and restarting my computer I lost all the Photos app too.


    Please help I use the mail and calendar app every day and I need it back.

    Error message "File system error (-2147163901)" in Pictures

    I cannot open individual items in "Pictures" with error message "File system error (-2147163901)" . Photos will not open at all though it is installed and has been reset. I am using Windows 10 Home on a PC. Any suggestions?

    File System Error (-2147163901) All Windows apps can no longer be opened

    After this file system error (-2147163901) with Windows 10, all Windows apps can no longer be opened.

    So no photo, post or Skype etc.

    Even deleting and re-downloading the apps is unsuccessful.

    Also the steps:

    PowerShell as an administrator

    Dism / Online / Cleanup Image / RestoreHealth etc. did not work.

    Also the MediaCreationTool1809 with no success.

    Does anyone have a solution for this bug without having to reinstall Windows?
