Windows 10: File system error (-2147219196) ?!?! can't view my photos anymore !!!

After recent microsoft update I now get this error when trying to view any of my photos, very frustrating when your own operating system update screws up your computer. Very sad microsoft !!

I am trying to watch MKV files in Microsoft movies and the app wont launch ang gives me this message

I just did the .reg from the tutorial, and I now get this in Default Apps as a choice. You may want to re-visit what you did in the tutorial.

You'll want to look at "Step 4: Uninstall Photos, Remove Leftover Files and Reinstall".

(when you're at the psexec part, you might receive an error about access being denied to some of the files in the photos app folder (happened to me), just ignore them and continue untill the end of STEP
4).

When i first removed and reinstalled the photos app, it downloaded less than 100mb of data, and installed it.

With the steps, described in the above link, it downloaded over 300mb of data!

After install, the photos app is (for now) behaving as normal.

I'll keep you informed, should the problem return!
