Hello,at first I didn't even notice something was wrong with my pc. The start button didn't work and I thought all would be well the next power cycle. However, today I suddenly became unable to access ANY file on ANY drive with file explorer with the exception of some text files on my desktop for whatever reason. So here's what I've tried to fix the problem according to what I've gathered from similar issues:- power cycling- updating windows through powershell- sfc /scannow- DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestorehealthThe first time I ran sfc /scannow it said that some corrupt files had

Simply, HOW? I got the DDS plugin but the POS wont open DDS files still. Can someone give me a step-by-step rundown of how to install the DDS plugin for gimp so I know if I'm missing something?

 

File Explorer won't open?

  Command prompt (Admin) to bring up elevated command prompt.
• In the Command Prompt type the following command:
  sfc/scannow and press Enter.
• After the scan, restart the computer.

This issue may happen due to system file corruption. I suggest you to run System file checker.

System File checker (SFC) scan is done to check if there are any corrupted system files that could be causing this issue. Kindly follow the below given steps:

• Press Windows key + X, select
  Command prompt (Admin) to bring up elevated Command prompt.
• In Command prompt type sfc /scannow and press
  enter.
• Restart the computer.

If no corrupted system files were found in the previous state, then I suggest you to run the DISM commands:

• Open command prompt by pressing Windows key + X and selecting “Command prompt admin”.
• In command prompt, type the following commands and press
  Enter after each command:

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
