Windows 10: File Write Denied on Windows 10/Solidcore

Good afternoon,I am looking for some advice on an issue I am seeing in an environment I look after. We currently use Trellix/McAfee Solidcore Application and Change Control in our Windows 10 environment and for a little while now and on a daily basis alerts are being generated in their thousands related to file write denied operations which take place against known Windows files below. The action is blocked which is by design as the files are protected by Solidcore, but should these processes be allowed to write to the files below? NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM under process name: Services.exe

Access denied when attempting to write to eSATA drive after updating Windows 10 Enterprise

I appreciate the efforts taken by you to work on this issue. I understand that after updating Windows 10 Enterprise, you receive
Access Denied error when you try to write to an eSATA drive.



As you have tried to change the owner to Administrator groups, I would suggest you to try changing the owner to your account and see if that makes a difference.



You may also want to refer the steps mentioned below and see if that helps:

1. Type command prompt in the search bar on the Taskbar.
   
2. Right click on command prompt icon and select Run as administrator.
   
3. Now, paste the following command and hit Enter:
   takeown /f <drive_name> \ /R /D Y
