Windows 10: FileHistory error 200

I am trying to make backups for my important files on my computer using FileHistory. I set it to run hourly. There is enough space on the drive.


In the first picture, it shows that the latest backup was done on 5/23:




However, if I visit file history, It shows that I can restore to a later date 4/25 but not even up to today's date 5/25 or 26



I tried to click the "Back up now" button in the first picture, but it runs for a bit, then says that latest backup was 5/23 button changes to "cancel" then back to "Back up now" after a while but the time of latest backup doesn't change.

I checked the event viewer and it seems to throw an error each time I try to back up:



I tried running "sfc /scannow" but it still gave same error as before.

FileHistory Error 201 Windows 10 1903

FileHistory is working fine... ...but if I add 'Documents' directory, FH stops with 201 error code.

I've checked that all file paths are less than 200 chars length.

Why the event registry can't display any useful information? Only 201 error code!

 

Backup Issue - Microsoft 10 - Cannot perform initial backup

I followed these steps exactly. Same result: it says backing up, but stops prematurely. I tried several times.

In addition to the errors, above, I have also received this error:

Unable to start a backup cycle for configuration C:\Users\Papa\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\FileHistory\Configuration\Config

Event ID: 200

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

File History only backs up copies of files that are in the Documents,
Music, Pictures, Videos, and Desktop folders and the OneDrive files available offline on your PC. If you have files or folders elsewhere that you want backed up, you can add them to one of these folders. I would suggest you to format the new
drive and then try to initiate file History back up once again.



You can try resetting File history. To reset file history, disable (turn it off) it and follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Go to the folder %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\FileHistory. You can copy and paste this path to the address bar of File Explorer.
   
2. Delete all files and folders you see.
   

Once you perform the above steps, you can try setting up file history once again. If you need any additional assistance, please reply back with the exact error message.
