    Filehistory.exe - Sleep/ Screen Turning Off Issues


    Filehistory.exe loads and runs in background whenever I boot. This causes the monitor to not go to sleep. The file history service is disabled so I don’t need the filehistory.exe to run. I can stop the program from running by ending it in task manager. This is a new problem after the January update. Any ideas what is causing this to happen and how can I permanently fix?Thanks

    Hi, thank you. I could restart my surface pro 4 but still could not fix the Surface Pro 4 screen not turn on after sleep. I am still looking forward to hearing more suggestions to fix the black screen after sleep.

    Screen doesn't turn on after Sleep

    The screen does not turn on after sleep. I have to force shut down by holding the power key to be able to restart. Any suggestions to overcome this issue?
