Folders and files are in reverse order

Sometimes, the folders and files I am looking at, or attempting to save a file to, are in reverse order.

This is not a matter of clicking on something obvious that says, reverse the reverse order so a is first and z is last. There isn't anything.

If I am trying to save a file, I cannot stop to make changes to the" thing" I am looking at (not a page, not a file) it's just a box.

As I explained, this does not happen for all folders or all boxes of files. Mostly, it happens when I am trying to save something. But it is also happening with a main "thing", for lack of a better word. - a collection of folders and files. But not all
    collections of files and folders.

I would like to be able to have the choice in Windows 110 to have my files and folders arranged in alphabetical order, from A to Z. Thanks.

    Windows 10

Have I updated recently, Probably, I have no say over that.

Folders and files are in reverse order

    Hi suemcp001

Open a folder that appears in reverse order in Windows File Explorer

On the view tab, set view to Details

Then click the Name Column Header, so the arrow on the Name column header points up

    That will re-order that folder from A - Z

Then on the View Ribbon, click Options

On the resulting dialog, click 'Apply to Folders'

    .

    REVERSE alphabetical order

Within that folder (If I click on the folder I want, I get a list of files (in reverse order).) - Click on Name at top
