Windows 10: Files and photos are being deleted from OneDrive

This has now happened to me at least twice, that I know ofFiles, photos, videos and music are being deleted from my OneDrive, and therefore my computer, randomly, and without action on my part. Just by chance, on the two occasions that I know of, I went looking for something specific and it was not found where it should be. I checked the Windows Recycle Bin, and it was not in there. I checked the OneDrive Recycle Bin, and there it is, along with over 2,000 other files that I did not delete. The deletions all occurred during a one hour period when I was busy elsewhere, my laptop was not being u

Photos deleted from gallery, deleted on Onedrive

It sounds like your photos deleted from gallery have also been deleted on Onedrive.

First I suggest you try to check maybe the Deleted Galary on your phone to see if it's possible to get deleted photos back. Then you may try to visit the OneDrive website to see if the photos you synced are there. If not, you may follow the steps listed on this link | Find lost or missing files in OneDrive (microsoft.com) to see if they could be found back.

Deleting photos in Windows 10

Hi,

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

- Are you using Photo app or other app?

If you are referring to Photo app, follow the below steps and check.

• • 
    

[*]1. In the Photos app, go to the folder with the files you want to delete.
[*]2. Do one of the following:

• If you’re looking at your list of photos and videos, swipe down on or right-click the files you want to delete. You can also tap or click
  Select all.
  
• If you open a photo or video, swipe up from the bottom or right-click to see the app commands.
  

3. Tap or click
Delete.

• 
  

You can also delete photos using the Camera app, the OneDrive app, or File Explorer.

The above steps are the only way to delete the photos.

Whatsapp photos do not sync with OneDrive

You may try adding the photos manually by using the Upload tool of the OneDrive app. Please follow the steps mentioned in the article below.
