Windows 10: Files, folders This PC not opening correctly

Hi, Currently have a Lenovo ideapad 330s running windows 10. Unfortunately having problems over the last few days with Items on the task bar such as 'This PC' and also with 'files and folders' on the desktop which when clicked on start to open and then close down immediately, sometimes there is a brief view of the contents. trying to access the folders from the start menu also shows the same problem. any help/advice appreciated

• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

opening .dds files with gimp

Simply, HOW? I got the DDS plugin but the POS wont open DDS files still. Can someone give me a step-by-step rundown of how to install the DDS plugin for gimp so I know if I'm missing something?

 

Documents/Pictures folders under 'This PC' refer to onedrive - not the local folders

Since the only folder that has incorrect file path is the Documents folder under This PC, we would suggest you do the same steps provided above. However, do it in your Documents folder under This PC. To do so, kindly follow the steps below:

• Open File Explorer
• Click This PC
• Right-click on Documents
• Click Properties
• Click Location
• Click Restore Default
• Click Apply
• Click OK
