Windows 10: Files from Desktop and documents not visible in Old SSD

So I recently got a new laptop and I removed my OLD ssd from previous laptop because It had many files stored in desktop ad download folder which I thought I will copy to my new laptop. I got an external SSD case and connected the ssd but I cant find any desktop and documents or download folder in C>Users. I had one drive backup off, So even the onedrive folder has nothing in it. Can anyone help me in locating these folders. The data is very important.

Files copy to new desktop SSD but not visible

I need help! I have a problem when trying to copy files to new desktop SSD.

I bought a new PC and tried to copy some files from my old laptop to the new one. I did the following things:

First, I unplug the SSD from the new PC and plug it to the old one

Second, I simply copy and plaste files to the new SSD

At last I unplug the new SSD from the laptop, reset my old laptop and plug SSD back to the new PC.

After these things done, I started windows in my new PC and surprising found that those files I copied are not visible. I can't find them at File Explorer. They did take up some space through, I can tell it from the changed free space.

Right now I did some search and found that I should not operate in this way. But my concern is that is there any way for me to find these files I copied?

Note: I have reset my old laptop and removed everything so I can't find those files in my old laptop.

 

Scanned Documents File not visible

Hi. My Scanned Documents file is not visible. Scanned Documents are being scanned into that location. And I can see the file along with the scanned documents in the pop up window once the documents are scanned but once I close that window I can no longer
see it. I know the Scanned Document file location is located in my Documents File but it is invisible. Only way I can see this file location is to either scan a new document so that the Window pops up again or type the file location directly into the file
explorer address bar but this is a pretty tedious method. I've any suggestions?

 

All files in Desktop are hidden, but are visible in the File Explorer> Desktop

Hi all,

My wife cleaned up my keyboard in the afternoon and then all the files on the desktop are not visible anymore, but they are visible in File Explorer > desktop. So I'm wondering if there are any shortcuts or settings that are causing this.



Here are the steps I've tried:

1. On the desktop, right-click and create a new file. It is invisible, but visible in the Desktop folder (File Explorer)

2. Restart my device, the situation still happens.

3. Switch to another Windows user profile, all files are visible on the desktop.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
