    Files gone and Apps not launching.


    Two days ago, my desktop froze, so I turned it off manually (via power button). When I turned it back on, it took a long time, and on the sign in screen, it said "Preparing Windows". Then after it told me I needed to log out of the account. When I logged out and logged back in again, my files were all gone! My desktops, documents , music, pictures, EVERYTHING! Also, my apps would not load except those on the desktop (Recycle Bin, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Firefox). When I tried to open Spotify, It wouldn't launch. I went to find the application and open it there, but it said that the application could not be opened. When I tried to open the Microsoft Store, it wouldn't launch. I put it into the windows run thing and it said that the link could not be opened. So I googled the problem and saw that my files were in another folder, so I moved it back into it's original folder. However, I restarted the computer and my files are gone again and I do not know where they are. Also, my apps still do not open. PLEASE HELP ME!

    Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

    To assist you better, I would like to ask what is the error message you get when the app is launched.

    Suggest you to run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter by following the steps below:

    • Type “Troubleshooting” in search bar and press Enter.
    • Click on “View All” on top left pane.
    • Select “Windows Store Apps” from the list and follow the prompts for troubleshooting.

    Get Started app wont launch

    Their is no error message in opens for like half a second then closes, and the Option Windows Store Apps is not there
