Windows 10: Files grayed on home drive

Hi there! I hope you can help.

I have 2012r2 servers (some 2008r2) a 2012r2 file server and Windows 10 Education x64 on all the PCs. We are having issues where policies aren't always applying and on some machines they have grayed out documents with an x next to it suggesting that the files are unavailable offline however we haven't set and offline file policies in the PC policy that affects these machines only in a laptop one. It's a bit of a head scratcher and I wondered if anyone had any ideas as to where to start. There are other shared drives that are connected that are shared from the same server too without any issues.

Recovery USB creation : Issues in recognizing drive

Hi,

I upgraded from 8.1 to 10 home. Now when I'm trying to create recovery disk, "Create recovery Drive" does not recognize my USB drive, although the system itself sees and able to writes to it. Tried with and without system files copy option, but in both cases
the tool does not recognize the 16GB drive. In the below screen NEXT button is always grayed out.

Please help.

Windows 10 File Encryption Problems

I have a similar problem. Windows 10 Home grayed out the encryption option. On the new Windows 10 Home machine, I am able to access files and folders encrypted using EFS from an old Windows 7 (and earlier version) machine (by importing the old certificate
I previously created) but I cannot remove encryption or encrypt new files on the Windows 10 machine because the option is grayed out. Help anyone?

 

Don't have a solution but did see the same on a home computer the other day where the files were stored only on OneDrive but not being connected to the Internet did make them unavailable.
