Windows 10: Files I didn't open keep showing up on my Recents list in Windows Explorer

Something is accessing files on my One Drive and it is not me. It is isolated to One Drive files as it does not happen when WiFi is off. and the accessed files appear to be random. Why is this happening and how do I make it stop?

you get the idea. ( too lazy to put it in a for loop and test it.

or just open regedit and remove all the fileX from that key.

that's all off already dude lol, I'm really surprised there is no fix for the recent files list/MRU in the file menu of programs haha

I appreciate the help, MS really needs to implement a Group Policy or a string that can do that for all programs installed

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
