Windows 10: Files in folder "Documents" C:\Users\NAME\Documents disappeared / folder empty

Hello to everyone, I'd really be grateful for any help on this issue - thank you very much!The problem:Two days ago, while my laptop was running i.e. not after a Windows Update reboot, all files in all subfolders located in C:\Users\NAME\Documents have disappeared "This folder is empty". I have no clue why this happened because I did absolutely nothing critical at this time no programs installed, no manual Windows Update, no virus scan ....It seems weird that only the files in the subfolders are gone - the subfolders themselves are still there or at least I can see the folder names e.g.

• What were the steps you've tried to reverse the alphabetization of files and folder name?
• Can you provide us a sample screenshot of the issue?

My Documents Files - Deleted?

Thanks for the reply though my drive letter is actually F:\ and does not show a Data folder. When I click on the shortcut it takes me straight to my (administrators name)/Documents, so the link is correct. Not sure what happened.
