Windows 10: Files missing from one of my HDD partitions.

Hi! I am in a really weird situation. I have 2 HDD partitions i.e C and D on my laptop. My partial files and folders from D drive have disappeared and i can’t seem to find them. I tried with the display hidden files option, i searched them on my computer and i also checked the recycle bin but to no luck. The drive’s storage details show that the space of the files is utilised, but i can’t see them or find them. I could see all of them but when i selected them i got an error saying the files don’t exist there anymore and might have been moved or deleted but i haven’t done any of that. I’m desperately in need of help, thanks guys!

W7 Hard drive partition issue

to get rid of that 100 meg windows partition that setup creates for you on a new install on a blank hdd:

- press shift+f10 when on the partition management screen in setup <-- this opens a command prompt
- diskpart <-- start the windows command line partition management tool
- list disk <--- list the installed hdds in this computer for the next step
- select disk 0 <- might have to replace 0 with the number of the correct disk
- clean <-- this will erase all data on the disk you selected one step up- dont use the wrong disk!
- create partition primary <- creates a primary partition taking up all space on the drive, adjust the command if necessary
- exit, exit to exit diskpart and the command prompt
- click refresh in partition manager and select your newly created partition and install to that

• Click View on the top-left aligned to File button.
  
• Search and check Hidden items.
• Access the Hard Disk to check if files are shown.

Lost Partitions on HDD with HDD regenerator

Hey! thanks for the response!, i tried running Sea Tools and i have interesting results,

SMART Test - PASS

But the most interesting part is that, i have a "mount" program in Sea tools, so when i mount sda2, sda3,sda4
then when i go to /mnt/sda2, /mnt/sda3 and /mnt/sda4, i can see all of my data there!! all the files, all the folders, just as they were..

I can even read the contents of text files (using cat command).. so it seems my data + paritions are there but then why am i facing this terrible issue ? *Sad(






also regarding backups, i am sorry i have none *Sad, actually this 2tb hdd was itself my storehouse.. rip (i hope not)

So DISKPART can show all my partitions and volumes properly
and in Seatools , i can mount all partitions and List and read all my files and folders without any issues..
so what should be my next step :/ i don't wanna mess this up
