    Files on a usb with error 0x80071771


    Unable to open files in the usb also unable to copy and edit, each file has a pad lock on.I wanted to factory reset my pc because it was running slowly, i saved every important files on my usb. once i factory reset my pc and plugged in my usb i couldn't have acces to my files.I tried to search up a way to save my files but i cant find anything.Kira V.

    Error 0x80071771 on USB file

    A while ago I tried to lock a video file on a usb stick but it was not working so I pulled it out before it finished (bad on my part I know). Each time I try to open it up it in a player it comes up as a black screen and I get the error code (0x80071771) when I try to view the file ownership. Is there any way I can get it to open properly? Thanks.

    I understand that you are unable to access the files that you have encrypted and you receive an error while decrypting the files.



    I suggest you to refer the suggestions provided by Shafeeq_Khan in the thread

    Error: 0x80071771, The Specified File Could Not Be Decrypted     replied on April 14, 2019 and see if that helps in resolving the issue.
