Windows 10: Files opened by notepad do not show their icons in recommended, even though the icons are...

I've tried various fixes such as clearing Thumbnail cache, restarting explorer, and the fix in this post. That fix in the post fixed the issue when it occurred after going to Build 22610 from 22593 I had rolled back to 22593 from 22598 when that issue was first seen. However, it isn't working anymore after upgrading from Build 22610 to Build 22616. Already posted on Feedback Hub, but there's been no response from the team.

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.

 

hard drive icon?

Hi, i am trying to change my hard drive icon and have never done it before. I searched and found a little guide but it didnt work. I downloaded an icon from iconarchive.com and so its a single icon in an ico file type.

It opened notepad and typed:

[autorun]

icon=C:\"the file extenstion".ico

and saved it as "C:\autrun.inf"

but this is how it turned out:






can anyone help me with this?

 

Techpowerup bookmark icon in firefox?

changed the favicon for the forum
uploaded a new smaller (bytes) icon for the main site
added html code to suggest the icon to browsers

but i still cant get it to show up in firefox favourites
