Files stored in multiple areas: Public/Admin account

    Hi there,

I am not sure why things have to be this complicated with Windows 10. I hope MSFT can answer this:

I have had the same PC and have had 1 account Admin. However, I see some files are stored under public, and some under the username associated with Admin. Why!? Why would I need multiple accounts and have windows decide where things are stored? Now, some filed don't run because they need Admin permission Including PowerToys which maybe a different story

How can I painlessly have 1 account to deal with? Can I somehow merge the Public and Admin profile? Who said I am going to share a workspace with the public, or anyone else? I am the only user, why the monkey business without ever asking up front before separating and splitting folders and making decisions on my behalf!? What a mess...

Secondly, I keep getting these errors about runtime across browsers Chrome, or Edge, how can I deal with this: And before suggesting, I don't wish to clear out my entire browsing history, etc. I don't want to have to redo a bunch of things. I can clear out website specific items, but not willing to redo a bunch of settings, answer security questions, 2 step verifications again for each website.

If MSFT is answering this, please stop creating mess. If it's a concerned helpful person, THANK YOU!

    Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:
    1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
    2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

Problems in User Account, not appearing in Admin Account (store, sfc)

I have not found anything like my problem on any forum or thread. In my Administrator Account the Windows Store opens and I can install Apps. I expected those same Apps I just installed to appear in my User Account, they did not. Both my Admin and User accounts are Microsoft accounts.

In my User Account my Windows Store will not open (see image 1 below). I tried to use Command Prompt - Admin to run WSReset.exe (see image 2 below).
Then I tried to use a .bat file to re-register Windows Store (guess what? yeah see image 3 below).

I ran SFC /SCANNOW in both my Admin and USER accounts. No problems were found in either account. I noticed SFC ran in less than 30 minutes in my Admin account, but SFC took just over TWO HOURS to run in my User account.

My only idea at this point is to DELETE my User account and reinstall it. I thought I might reach out for other suggestions before doing that.

    All replies are appreciated.

Files stored in multiple areas: Public/Admin account

How to change admin user account name?

ah so main admin account is 'wizzle' which is what I am currently on
I make another account called 'wizzle2' (with admin rights)
I sign out of 'wizzle' and sign into 'wizzle2'.
And once signed into 'wizzle2', then I do the command prompt step and find the SID for 'wizzle' that is listed and go from there?
