I was trying to free up some space on my C: drive since it was getting low but I found that there were files that are taking up space but couldn't be found anywhere in file explorer. I've tried showing hidden files and still nothing. I also used Disk Cleanup tool but it didn't help at all.I used a Disk Analyzer to find some files and folders that I don't need and delete them. As you can see on the left side, there's a 17.4GB worth of files that I can't seem to find using windows explorer. It's taking up space so I want to delete it. The total space it's taking up is about 90GB.I went to my C:

System files taking up 85GB of storage space

Hi, there are tutorials that can help you free space:
Free Up Drive Space in Windows 10
Free Up Disk Space Now with Storage Sense in Windows 10

I prefer Wiztree to the outdated WinDirStat mentioned in the above:

Thsi may help you see where your space is used.

I've set the colours so red marks files I might be interested in adding to Ccleaner's list should I so wish - here you can see some dmp files.

It says storage space is full in file explorer but not in settings.

Initially I'd suggest you run Disk Clean-up on the C: drive to see if you can remove any unnecessary files.

Type clean in Search and select Disk Clean-up, run it the first time and select all items to be removed and OK. After that scan is complete select Clean up system files and run a second time selecting all files to be removed.

Check File Explorer again to see the result.

If you have enough space free then download TreeSize either from the Store or TreeSize Free | JAM Software (jam-software.com) run as administrator and expand the top largest items then post a screenshot of the result. See if free space matches File Explorer or Storage settings.

'Other' files taking up storage space

Alright, so I have a Windows 10 laptop with 29.1 gigabytes on the C drive. Now, sometimes when I go to settings, system, storage, and see how much space's taken up by the system files, sometimes it'll say about 17 GB while other times it'll say 19 GB. Because
the system files take up so much space, every GB of space counts, which leads me to my problem.

That. I want that gone, yet every-time I try to, I'm greeted with a page that lists 10 small files that take up ranging from 76 KB to 26.3 MB as shown here.

I don't think that all adds up to almost 3 GB of space taken up.

So my question is, what are these hidden files that're taking up so much space? Why are they not being shown so I can delete them? Also, if anyone can help me stop the system from taking up 17 GB to 19 GB and then back, that would be nice.
