Annoying click or beep when you highlight something to Copy / Paste- whether you use CTRL key combos or Right-click menu options.To my knowledge this has NEVER been solved in any help forum. EVER. Not solvable in Sounds. Not in Windows / change default Windows Scheme to No Sounds. Not in Office. Not in hardware or on-screen Keyboard settings. Not in Touchpad or Mouse settings. Not in any Drivers. Not in Android Subsystem. All suggested fixes have never provided a solution.You could Mute computer Audio- but then you wouldn't be able to hear anything- especially aged pop tarts' decades-long whi

OMG I am back after a day of total frustration

I believe you, it is ideed frustrating. Then again everything that involves calling support is frustrating. Is your problem solved by now or what will be the next steps?

 

annoying beep sound when i copy from documents, web pages and copying files-already disabled sounds

recently i began to get a "ding" sound when i used the copy function

-inside ms word

-copying a web page in FF or Chrome

-copying a document file from the desktop (for example to put into another folder)

-it also happens when i use "cut"

-i can't get rid of it and it's annoying me (i like to play music and can hear it every time-it's quiet only if computer on mute)

i disabled sounds from the "sounds" in control panel, then it switched from a "ding" to a "blip"

• Type and select Troubleshooting on the Search bar/Cortana.
• Click Hardware and Sound.
• Select Playing Audio under Sound.
• Follow the steps that will be provided.

If the steps does not work. We suggest downloading a fresh copy of the audio driver from Realtek and see if it helps.
