    Find a File on this computer


    In the days of XP and Win 7 I could do a search of files/folders in my computer looking for the concurrence of a particular word in a file, or within a time frame etc
    How can this be achieved in Win 10? If I do a search now (magnifying glass) it does not find files I know do exist on the hard drive.

    Did you use the Scan for hardware changes at the top of Device Manager?

    Go Settings. Network & Internet while at work and see it it is located in "Show available networks"

    If it is then connect to it. You will probably need the pass code.

    Click on Search in File Explorer and then when Search Tools/Search appears in Ribbon, click advanced options
