Windows 10: Find file location of music album's cover art

I have a music album that I downloaded and am playing it through windows media player on Windows 11. I can see the cover art of it when playing the songs. However, I would like to be able to find this image's file location so that I can use it elsewhere. I've looked through my music folder and checked hidden items, but I still cannot see the image, or have any idea as to where it would be located.Appreciate any help.

• Do the album covers/album art show up correctly in Windows Media Player?
• Have you checked if this is also true for the other music apps you used to add the album covers/album art?
• Can you send us a screenshot of a sample album art so we can take a closer look?
• What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?

N8 Album Cover Art?

Thank you for the discussion and the suggestions. Very useful indeed. I used mp3tag to correct the tag data, i.e. past album cover art as front cover, and the ovi player to delete the old mp3 files on the phone and re-transfer the correct files. I got the
album covers via google!

 

N97 Album Art.

I think WMP stores the album art in the folder with the music files but does not embed the album art in the actual file. iTunes does something similar but stores the album art in a database instead of in a flat file structure.



Just to make it clear, the problem is that the album art is not embedded in the music files.



There are several things that you can do:

• Load the album art onto the phone as images and link these to each album (not ideal as it requires quite a bit of work and the images need to remain on the phone and in the same location)
• Google "embed album art mp3" and download an application that can embed the album art.
• Import your music into iTunes, add the album art, and the convert to AAC (iTunes Plus) format which embeds the album art.
