Windows 10: find my computer location is wrong

My husband and I both work from home. My lap top shows my location as correct Georgia. My husbands says his computer is located in Minnesota. We use the same internet our computer are about the same age windows 11 both about 2 years old. We have done everything we can to trouble shot restart, set default address, VPN on and off, location services on, etc. still we can not get his "find my device" address to be in GA. Is this a security issue? has his laptop been hacked?

my pc location is showing the wrong location

I have the same issue. it lists our location at our old house we left 3 months ago.

it's fine using our phones (which have internal GPS), but all our PC's are showing the wrong location.

we have 1 on windows 10 and 1 on windows 11, both are wrong.

they are wrong in edge and chrome.

they are wrong in the weather apps and anything which uses the location.

I have followed the common steps of setting the location, of refreshing dns, or ip, I've changed all entries to location I can find.

even on websites to try to find a local branch, it suggests them near our old house.

Have just spent an hour on the phone with our ISP (EE) who have nothing more to suggest!

• Type Location privacy settings in search bar
  and click on Location privacy settings.
• Here you can enable/disable the Location.
• You may try to Enable/Disable the Maps app to use the
  location or not from the apps list.

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if that helps.

Method 1

Firstly, I suggest you to check the region settings. Refer to the steps below:

• Press Windows key +W.
• Type Region & click on Region & language settings.
• Check if the region selected in correct.

Method 2

Turn off and on the Location settings. Refer to the steps below:

• Press Windows key + W.
• Type Location and click on Location settings.
• Turn Off and then turn the location On and check if issue persists.

Method 3

Ensure that Date and Time set correctly and check the issue status.

• Press Windows key + W and type Date and Time.
• Select Set Date and Time.
• Click on Change Date and Time Button to change date and time.
• Click on Change Time Zone button to change Time Zone
• Save the changes and check the issue status.

Method 4

Synchronize their system clock with Internet Time and check if it helps.

• Click the Date and Time display on the Task bar followed by Change date and time settings.
• Click on Internet time tab.
• In the Internet Time Settings window, mark the check box with label as Synchronize with an internet time server and specify the server name.
• Save the changes by clicking on Ok.
