Windows 10: Finding techniques for remotely installing Windows from USB when touch pad stops working

In my newly purchased note book, since there was activation error, I contacted Support of the Manufacturer. I was asked to reset. I did it. The problem started since then. I could not restore as there was no restore point, nor I could boot. Ultimately I downloaded Windows 10 so that I can use it for making a clean install. The touch pad key stopped working though all tests on touch pad through Bios showed it to be ok when the USB was not inserted. Kindly advise me how I can operate from key board or from command prompt. The download was done in other Note Book.


It should be better if the machine is linked to Microsoft account and is showing in devices, we should monitor the software part without getting into the device before and try what ever it posted in community forum.


My problem is I can not prefer next in windows Installation as touch pad stops working once USB is inserted and it is starting to boot.

I tried Windows Key with ctrl it did not work. Lastly I tried to check the touch pad it self. It passed all tests.

My touch pad stopped working.

I installed Windows 10 in my Dell inspiron 15 3000 series and the touch pad stopped working. There is no driver for the touch pad and I have tried to download it from the internet but it does not work. I t says that your device is not compatible. The driver
is also named as unknown device. I think that is the problem but i still can not solve it. Hope that you can suggest something that works.

I have a semi new Lenovo laptop ThinkPad T450s with a new hard drive. After installing Windows 10 the touch pad doesn't work. It did however work before. I have spent all day trying to read up on how I may solve this to no avail. Therefore I am writing my own help request. Here is a list of things I have tried;


Not Fn + F5
tried updating drives
not in device manager
not in control panel - mouse properties doesn't give me touch pad option (picture 2) nor is it anywhere in the control panel under deivices to be found
Activated in BIOS
I tried taking some steps I read online in the Registration Entries but files seemed to be missing (perhaps here is the problem) but only ended up making my USB mouse to stop working so that didn't do the trick.
Synaptic pointing device is under View and show hidden devices.
Not sure what to do about the yellow exclamation mark but it says error "This device is not present, is not working properly or does not have all its drivers installed. (Code 24)"
