Windows 10: Fingerprint failed, so "PIN is required". How long to wait to re-try fingerprint?

After 3 fingerprint tries, Windows says "your PIN is required to sign in". I'm historically perfect at recording passwords and pins, but not this time. I haven't used the Microsoft Outlook email in years, so I couldn't answer the questions required to reset my pin ("[what were your most recent sent emails?]". I believe I will be allowed to re-try my PIN eventually. Do you know how long I have to wait?

Fingerprints and Aluminum

Dug up an old Antec micro-atx case of mine. Crafted in aluminum, covered in fingerprints. I looked closely at the surface, and it looks like the oils left from touching the aluminum caused some type reaction on the aluminum? Like the fingerprints are now 'part of' the aluminum LOL. Rubbing with my t-shirt doesn't get them off. I even tried using isopropyl alcohol to remove the fingerprints and failed miserably... they're still here. I've seen a lot of aluminum cases in the case mod gallery covered in fingerprints left from the build *Bang Head :banghead:

What makes these fingerprints stick to the aluminum? Please share with me some methods of removing fingerprints from aluminum heh *Toast :toast:

 

Forgot Admin Password and Pin, usually use fingerprint but now requires pin!

I usually use my fingerprint to log into the admin account which I do so rarely. I have a few other non-admin accounts on the laptop.

When I tried to log into the admin account today with the fingerprint it asks for my pin as well?! This seems to be an issue with some new update. So now I cannot access the admin account since I do not know the pin or password (although the fingerprint
is recognized and requires an extra pin to be approved)

This is entirely retarded, do I no longer have admin access for Windows 10 and I DO NOT WANT TO WIPE OUT MY COMPUTER TO RESTORE ADMIN ACCESS BEFORE ANYONE SUGGESTS THAT.

 

Fingerprint sign-in missing from options!

I'm a step further:

The installed driver for the fingerprint reader has to be deleted from device manager. Windows 10 then install a "Synaptics" driver for the fingerprint reader.

In a second step, a PIN has to be specified in the account options. After that, the fingerprint option misteriously appears and it's possible to record the fingerprint.

BUT: I absolutely can't understand why a PIN is required for fingerprint logon. Now, I can logon to my domain joined Windows 10 client with just a 4 digit PIN, despite we have complex password requirements configured in the domain policies.

I tried to setup two factor authentication with PIN and fingerprint, but haven't found a way. There is absolutely no description how to implement 2 factor authentication in Windows 10. Seems to be Vaporware..
