Windows 10: Fingerprint option is not shown during sign in.

I bought Lenovo ideapad s540 laptop last month. First 15 to 20 day everything was fine, I set up the password fingerprint and everything was working properly and then all the sudden the fingerprint option got disappeared from sign-in options. I put my finger on the scanner it shows that pin/password is required to sign-in. I tried solving this problem by various methods yet its not working.

I hope I get a quick response with effective solution.

sign-in-options not working for fingerprint

I am trying to load office 365 personal and the password is not accepting --the fingerprint option is not shown as a way to access the microsoft program, however that is how I initially sign in to my computer -

Yesterday my HP Envy laptop, which is only 6 months old, all of a sudden froze on a screen that I was working on and after about 5 minutes gave me a blue screen that said something like "windows has encountered a problem and is gathering info and will restart
soon " My laptop restarted but since then my fingerprint sign-in will not work. When I go to Windows > Settings > Accounts > Sign In Options, 2 messages stand out to me:

• One message that says: This options is currently unavailable-click to learn more. We couldn't find a fingerprint scanner compatible with Windows Hello fingerprint
• Windows Hello is preventing some options from being shown

I understand your inconvenience. We will assist you to resolve this issue.

Before we proceed, we would like to know if you have made any changes to the computer prior to this issue.

I suggest you to enable the biometric sign in option in setting and check.

Method 1: Enable the biometric sign in option

• Press Windows logo key + I key.
• Click on Accounts.
• Go to Sign in options tab.
• The fingerprint option will always be visible if there is a WBF-supported fingerprint reader (and its associated driver) installed on the computer.

If you are unable to find the biometric sign in option, I suggest you to follow the instruction provided in method 2 and then perform method 1 on your computer and check.

Method 2: Biometric option.

I suggest you to enable the Biometrics to pick up the Biometrics setting. This option shall be enable by default.
However, I recommend you to follow the steps provided below and check if it enable or not.

• Press Windows logo key + R key.
• Type gpedit.msc and press
  Enter key.
• Under Computer Configuration, navigate to.

Administrative Templates -->Windows Components-->Biometrics

In the left hand panel of the Windows, double click on the following:

• Allow the use of biometrics
• Allow users to log on using biometrics
  • Select enable option and click on Apply and
    OK button.

Now, restart your computer and follow the instructions provided in method 1.
