Windows 10: Fingerprint prevents laptop from sleep

Hello,I have a problem with my hello fingerprint. After putting my laptop to sleep it will wake up on it's own and fingerprint sensor keeps working. I keep getting the message "your device couldn't recognize you. Try cleaning your fingerprint sensor" and it keeps refreshing the sensor. I already disabled touchpad from waking up the laptop,but fingerprint is still working and won't let it sleep. My laptop is Asus vivobook. I don't know if it's software problem or hardware, any help would be appreciated

Fingerprint scanner not working working after going to sleep

Unfortunately the above recommendation didn't resolve the problem. I'm still finding that the fingerprint scanner doesn't read my fingerprint after my laptop goes to sleep.

I look forward to any additional suggestions you might have.

 

Fingerprint scaner does not work as expected in Lenovo laptop

What is the model of the Lenovo laptop wherein the fingerprint scanner does not work?

Since the issue involves working of the fingerprint scanner which came inbuilt with the Lenovo laptop, I would request you to contact the laptop manufacturer.

In the meanwhile you can execute the Hardware and devices troubleshooter and then check if it helps.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with the Bluetooth adapter. Refer these steps:

  Press Windows key + X, select
  Control panel.
  
• 
  Change the view by option on the top right to
  Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the
  view all option on the left panel.
  
• 
  Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.
