Windows 10: fingerprint reader stops working in middle of windows hello

Discus and support fingerprint reader stops working in middle of windows hello in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; a few months ago my fingerprint reader stopped working so I tried to fix it but it did not work so I just removed my fingerprint from windows hello and...     fingerprint reader stops working in middle of windows hello


    a few months ago my fingerprint reader stopped working so I tried to fix it but it did not work so I just removed my fingerprint from windows hello and gave up on it but when trying windows hello to add my fingerprint it works until in the second part where it wants you to move you finger around it suddenly stops regocnising my finger. also yes my driver is up to date, the drivers on the manufactures website are out of date for my version of windows 10

    Windows Hello Fingerprint not working

    This is still not working after doing all those steps, please help after the Windows update it stopped working and it says the following : we couldn't find a fingerprint scanner compatible with windows hello fingerprint.

    After taking all the steps you suggested on here it says i have the latest update.

    Windows Hello Fingerprint not working

    windows hello fingerprint not working after 20-30sec in login screen


    if i go idle for 15 seconds or more in log in screen.. windows hello wont read my fingerprint..like my reader stops working....fingerprint is still in my login option but no reaction everytime i try to swipe my finger in the reader..
    i am sure that the reader is working fin because after i log in using password, i try to register new fingerprint and it is working fine..and there is no problem in my fingerprint reader before upgrading to windows 10


    i tend to power up my laptop and then let it be for a few minutes..and i think its not the right behavior of fingerprint reader to stop reading fingerprint like that...
    is there a good solution for this?
